Waiting on God

It’s hard to do

When all you see

Confuses you

You want to go forward

You do not know how

So waiting in prayer

Is what you do now

You pray for change

You hope and wait

You run out of patience

It’s getting late

What to do next

Where shall you turn

You’ve done all you can

What more must you learn

Oh, God change my life

Create a new thing

My sacrifice of thanks

I surely will bring

You always know best

On that I rely

Help me to rest

And stop asking why

You will fight my enemies

You’re a friend indeed

Thank you for meeting

My every need

Please calm my spirit

And help me wait

Knowing truly

Your never late
