A Refuge

When your father and mother forsake you

The Lord will take you up

Hold you in his bosom

If in Him you will trust

He longs to be your father

And your mother too

If only you will trust Him

For all that He can do

He can make you over

Let you start anew

Wipe away the guilt and shame

He’ll do all this for you

In order to receive

These things He wants to do

You simply must believe

They’re available for you

We read in John three

Ye must be born again

By faith you must believe Him

And let Him enter in

It’s really very simple

Three steps and then your there

Follow me He says to you

For the way I long to share

Just ask for forgiveness

For all the things you’ve done

Say a prayer to the father

Who will cast out no one

Believe in your heart He died

For all your sins to pay

And rose again to prove it

On the third day

Then confess your belief to another

Your blessing to obtain

You have arrived into the kingdom

Forever to remain
